  8. You'll be using 2 hearts for one pie. On one side, top with broken chocolate pieces that fits the dough. On the other heart, spread lines using egg yolk mixed with 1 teaspoon of water to act as a glue, and then sandwich the hearts.
  9. As seen in the image, use a cake fork with thin tines to secure the two pieces together.
  10. Spread a sheet of aluminum foil onto the baking tray and line up the pies. Brush on of the same "glue" made from a wash (egg yolk mixed with water), and top with a sprinkling of granulated sugar. Bake for 10-15 minutes on the middle rack at 230ºC.
